Community growing
Growing food together — beds, polytunnels, orchards and shared harvests, tended by whoever turns up.
The land arm of Rooted Common Ground
A proposed network of community farm spaces in central England — land held in trust for community growing, wellbeing and regeneration. Places where people can reconnect with the land, grow food together, and find some calm.
Nothing is fixed yet — this is a network being shaped by the people who want it. These are the four things every space would hold.
Growing food together — beds, polytunnels, orchards and shared harvests, tended by whoever turns up.
Safe, trauma-aware spaces to slow down. No pressure to perform, talk, or be anyone in particular.
Caring for soil, water, hedgerow and habitat, so the land is healthier for the people who come after us.
Work parties, quiet days, learning together — reconnecting with land and with the neighbours beside us.
Same movement, different soil
Rooted Common Ground is a neighbourhood movement where people swap time and skills instead of money — an hour of help earns Kindness, and gratitude is given back as Love.
Farms is the land arm of that same idea. The same neighbours, the same Kindness, the same promise — nobody cold, nobody hungry, nobody alone — held on ground that belongs to the community rather than to any one of us.
Notes from the search for land, growing days, work parties and the slow work of building something that lasts.
